I know of one that was cruised around the world by 3 ladies, they didn't say anything bad about the boat. It is an older design with a big cockpit, make sure you have big scuppers if you are pooped.

I went in a 38 ft Ingrid, I had single handed all over the San Juans and leaving from Port Angeles to La Paz. I was at the very limit of what a 63 year old guy could handle. Go now!
