Re: Scary and Stunning

I saw that on weather.com the other week and almost posted it. Hate to have to clean my boat after going through something like that, I'd imagine it would have to geteverywhere!

Re: What do you do on a rainy day in paradise?

Just before we left this summer we bought a 2 TB hard drive and filled it with movies and tv shows. It's nice and compact, and has more viewing hours than we'l probably ever go through on our trip. ...

Re: What do you do on a rainy day in paradise?

We're still on the hard at the moment, so no water to swim in right now, and we have been watching Game of Thrones lately. Which, as S2Hullabaloo told me, is basically like porn. Guess people...

Re: What do you do on a rainy day in paradise?

Well, you can only stay in bed for so long after you have to move on to other activities. ;)

But now I'm curious to hear about YOUR days as a young man! (spare some of the details though)

Re: What do you do on a rainy day in paradise?

I'm not re-watching, they're all new. :p Most of them are new. Ok, some of them are new.

And what are you talking about, you're going to have a tv on your boat too. It's already been...

Re: What do you do on a rainy day in paradise?

Re: Who from SailNet would you most like to meet in person?

I happen to be in the same yard as Sequitar....it's just that no one is on it right now. :(

What really upsets me, is I [I]had[I] the chance to meet wingNwing this fall in Annapolis where we...

Re: Boat Cards: Pompous & Anal or A Good Idea?

We've collected so many while heading down the ICW this year, and they're really helpful to have. We've actually met people, have them give us their card, find them again a few hundred miles down...

Re: Pictures: Those perfect moments

We had the same thing when we passed at it this summer. Saw it coming up at 10:30 at night and didn't pass under until 4:30 am. Very trippy in the dark with the reflectors under the bridge guiding...

Re: Living on Island Time...

Yes, our friend from Fire & Rescue told us about it shortly after we arrived here. It's nice to be included in things like that. :) If we have more questions about the area though, I'll...

Re: The future of the sailing world. Why are there so few young people cruising??

I don't know about the number of sailors in general, but I think the number of young cruisers is going up. We've been out for five months now and we have met plenty of people in the 40 or under...

Re: Strictly Sail Chicago Show Question

I agree with Sailormon. It's a good size, probably about 30 boats that you can climb in and look at. Mostly Hunters, Catalinas, Beneteaus, Jeanneaus, and Island Packets. Definitely not as big as...

Re: Favorite Cruising Music?

I actually kind of enjoy night passages while I'm on shift and my husband is asleep, close up the companionway for a few minutes, and belt out some Florence and the Machine, 'Shake It Out'.

Re: Shaving legs onboard?

When I'm shaving my legs on board I go in the cockpit in a swimsuit and use the shower head to get my leg just a little bit wet. Then I lather it up (I don't even use shaving cream, just shampoo or...

Re: Living on Island Time...

Very jealous of your ability to get a tan line. :) We're on island time too, but in Florida's first coast, so not much laying out in the sun.

Maybe we'll see you heading north on our way...

Re: Black or off coloured Yachts? Opinions......,

I do like darker colored hulls, but we couldn't go with one due to how hot it would get below, and it's likely we wouldn't have air conditioning. But that boat....I'm sure their AC is running ALL...

Re: wrong color foulies?

I agree that as long as it has a neon hood and reflectors, you should be good.
