Re: Surveyor in RI?

I would second Johnson Marine in Mystic. They go above and beyond.

Ken Johnson even helped/taught me how to winterize systems when I combined a fall haul out with a pre-purchase survey.

I'll...

Re: Fish club, or sex toy?

What amazes me is that you are worried about cleaning it up to muddle fruit but no mention of cleaning it up before the sex toy act? :D

Re: Things lost in the water

French press, digital camera, cell phone, channel lock pliers, and a cocktail waitress.

I was lucky to be able to manage to retrieve the waitress as it was dark and she was black but we were...

Shore power and lights

LED 12volt.

I'm considering adding one 12v fluorescent fixture over the galley as I like lots of light when I'm cooking.

Re: Boat name advice

I like Chief. I also like Allison. I happen to like one word names so I did not reply to the poll.

If it was me, I might go with Chief and perhaps have a graphic added, something firefighting...

Re: Good morning! Game change plan.....

If the KY winter allows you to leave the boat in the water, I would do just that to sell her. There is a reasonable possibility that the buyer may not even survey. I don't know what the market is...

Re: A mistress?

I just got out of my last relationship, mainly, it ended because of the CLOCK (no, it's not a silent L).

Summer time better spent on sailing and weekend cruises.

If time comes and I'm made...

Re: Best 30' Cruiser

The C&C 30MKI is a good compromise, fast for it's vintage, very easy to sail in a variety of conditions, very stiff. A fun boat.
No quarter berth = huge storage lazarettes.
Large V-berth.
Small...

Re: Violent attack, Cruisers injured, St Vincent & Grenadines, Union Island

I kneel to no one. You mistake my solace for complacency. Let your God forbid you corner me. I'll gnaw through your flesh. Now get over it.

Peace.

Re: Violent attack, Cruisers injured, St Vincent & Grenadines, Union Island

My summer sailing is limited to my local waters in New England. The job I do keeps me busy in the summer. The dead of the Northern hemisphere winter finds me traveling the world in warmer, less...

Re: Time for a new dinghy - roll up vs. air vs. rigid floor

I have had a Mercury Air Deck (inflatable floor). 10 Years old and the Hypalon has held up well. Too bad the inflatable floor is mad of PVC .

It does well with a 5 hp, planes nicely. Rowing is...

Re: Whales don't like Red ?

I would have to say that if anything, white bottom paint would look more like the underbelly of a shark or a killer whale. And I'm not really convinced on that.

Re: Replacing a tired Atomic 4 Gas Engine

Having lived with an A4 for 10+ yrs, and done my share of business with the Moyers, I would replace it with a rebuilt from Moyer.

Properly taken care of, an A4 is a very reliable little beast. My...

Using it on a PVC inflatable is probably a bad idea.

I used it on my dink, Hypalon tubes seemed to be ok but the inflatable deck is made of PVC turned all sticky and developed a leak. The floor...

Fitting Punishment?

Whilst dumping the dregs overboard your crew drops the French press overboard. What do you do?

Considerations:
It's a dude so no help in the eye candy department.
He is however cheerful,...

Re: Noank, CT /Mystic - Marina Feedback
