Yep, happened to me once, fell of the boat when I was trying to straddle it when I was trying to back it out. Could not get back on, luckily my neighbor had his leader down.

Ops, did use a spring line to back out of the slip. There was a knot at the end of the spring line so it got caught on the cleat so the stern went hard to port and I almost bumped my neighboor etc.....
