Re: Has anyone here done any kite videos?

I've tried this, but need to get a better rig. I made my own picavet, used small eyebolts instead of micro blocks and it doesn't stay level enough. Also has too much swing. I also need to sit down...

Re: CO alarm on boats ?

I bought one rated for household use. It quit working last summer. I don't know if the heat or the humidity killed it. I'm now looking for one that's rated for marine use.(UL 1524 rated)

Re: Recomendations for Transporting the Boat

I used Triton Yacht Transporters last year, very pleased with them. I know someone else who used them and they were also pleased. Based in Oriental, NC.

Re: Self steering on wheel steered boats

I'm very satisfied with my Cape Horn wind vane. All of the connections are below decks, no lines in the cockpit or attached to the wheel. It also has the ability to connect a small tiller autopilot...

Joe,
Tried to PM you but apparently I don't have enough posts to do that... I live and sail on the northshore. IMO it would be easier to get here from BR than to try to get to a marina on the...

Hauling out may not be an option. Facilities here are limited and small. The yard I usually use could probably hold ten more boats than are there now. All of the other yards that I know of (5?) are...

I like to have it in a glass just so I get to smell it and see the color of it. It adds to the enjoyment.

Pullman berth
Length = 77"
Width = 65" and 48"

Aft berth
Length = 76"
Width = 45" and 36"

Mine was built in '88, I don't think the sizes changed. A good source is the owner's group, a very...

Just an update- I've steamed and bent all the decking. Yes, there was quite a bit of springback. In fact, some pieces didn't even look like they had been bent. I left them in the jig for at least 4...

I agree that either boat is a good choice. I am now on my second HC33. If I could've found a LN available, and close by, I would've definitely given serious thought to buying it.
IMHO you should...

I actually tried it yesterday after work. I steamed a couple of practice pieces for 30 minutes and they didn't break. I think I will soak them though. And I need to re-build my jig. I was trying to...

Bending/steaming teak for decking

I'm in the process of replacing the teak decking and need to bend it like the original decking. I've steamed and bent other harwoods before but not teak. Has anybody here steamed decking before? How...

I'm actually in the process now of doing this. Except being the glutton for punishment that I am, I'm replacing the teak decking. I trust my carpentry skills more than more fiberglassing skills. So I...

Try Bob Doolittle, 985-727-4495.

He surveyed a boat for me last year and did a decent job. He was up front and honest about the condition right from the start. We weren't able to finish the...
