Odd that you say that because I had one of the first generation PSS units in my boat, close to 30 years old and the PSS didnt have a tube and the tube didnt come along for 20 years after it was...

I replaced my PSS a year or so ago and went back to the old type dripless as the new packing is great.. and gives me the oppertunity to adjust as I travel. didnt want to end up in some out of the way...

The "gas" system was something we replaced shortly after we bought the boat and I had all the lines made up by "Whale Point" marine there on San Pablo Blvd, But then again, I swapped out everything...

You are right, if you chose a heavy weight, low aspect rig, you'll need everything you say,
On my Beney, no large tankage, but I have a watermaker, .....
No Lee Cloths, as I have sea berths, ...

Not sure If I'd go there..... I use a Juki 1541 and a 2286, both with a sailrite DC motor (MC-SCR), and it will punch as you say but I've had a number of machines the would not..

We've been aboard goofing off for the last 12 years and traveled a good number of miles, and its time for a re-fit.. much or everything we installed 10 to 12 years...

I had to move the tank rearward last year when we replaced the shaft log. happens we had the transmition out to replace the chutches so I had a little more area to work..

I will agree, as at the time, I'm replacing the water tanks by building new fiberglass units... and I normally keep my boat in the marina where we own the Canvas and Upholstery Shop,...

Not trying to cause an argument here but arnt they the same.. If a tenant moves onto my dock with his boat, and he lives aboard, he is infact a liveaboard on his boat and renting a space on my dock?...

I think I made my point very clear.. I own a dock on a waterway and will not lease to liveaboards due to the reasons I stated.. and I'm sure many marinas have the same attitude as I.

I'm part of a small group that owns 3 homes here in the California Delta.. two of those homes have their own docks and Liveaboards are strictly forbidden.. And we live on our boat.. we do allow...
