Re: Ocean baby rescue underway off Mexico

Therein lays the problem, the more this goes on the less the pieces fit. Honestly I am at a loss as to what to think or who to believe at this point. The judge will have their hands full trying to...

Re: Ocean baby rescue underway off Mexico

"Taking responsibility for your actions" for me this is the heart of the matter. RH keeps insisting they did everything right, that they are experienced and that everything is the fault of something...

Re: Sailing Dog's Boat Destroyed By Fire

I am not throwing anything in anyones face. You are either a decent person or not. I am not one to pass judgment. The facts will speak for themselves. If you are not a nice person I think it will...

Re: Sailing Dog's Boat Destroyed By Fire

For anyone who has missed the abuse SD is now over on some of the sailing pages on facebook correcting everyone and calling anyone who does not agree with him a "Moron" I for one could do without...

Re: ebay purchase gone bad: 1/4" G43 anchor chain

Nothing wrong with EBay in general, I have purchased thousands of dollars of stuff on there, everything from electronics and hardware to my mast, and even a boat or two! I have had a handful of...

Re: Stuck in the middle of the ocean with a broken rudder on your boat

I think it is a clear illustration of how reality can shape your situation and how you see things around you. He seems truly scared and in a unknown environment so he thinks it is really windy and...

Re: Ocean baby rescue underway off Mexico

And circling back to my original point, arrogance and the ocean do not mix much like oil and water do not mix. Both arrogance and oil will speed you down that slippery slop to disaster.

Re: Ocean baby rescue underway off Mexico

I agree many comments have been very harsh and uncalled for.
that does not change the fact that she clearly says that most people live bad lives. "We believe that most people lead lives of quiet...

Re: Ocean baby rescue underway off Mexico

5 of the paragraphs in that article start of with "we believe"

I do get the impression this is a very self centered couple and I base this on a lot of their writings. I am not saying that is good...

Re: Using diesel tank for gasoline.

This boils down to safety and common sense as much as regulations. Yes if the tank was in a locker like propane it would be ok. Gasoline vapors are heavier than air and will flow to the low point....

Re: New video series on replacing seacock

You are correct there were no backing plates and it was surprising how much the hull flexed when pressure was applied to the valve. They also use a very poor quality bronze, almost brass and that is...
