I'm about to sell one on ebay. This was the only info I could find on the thing. I had pictures of the packaging, but I can't seem to find it now.

Wicox Crittenden Skipper Head packing question

I'm trying to get my toilet back together and I'm not sure how the packing installs. If I put the packing in there's no thread available for the packing cap. Am I supposed to smash it in there first?...

Re: old sails?

Find somebody who knows how to sail to see if they can tell you if you're doing something wrong. Your local yacht club is a good place to start, tell them you have a sailboat and are interested in...

Re: Just looked at a Cheoy Lee today...

When you figure out the bare minimum to sail the boat--repair motor, replace rigging, replace rudder, batteries, rewire, and you're not even to cabinetry or teak refinish or painting... you're...

Re: How would you improvise a sail for an inflatable dinghy

I thought about a wind surfing rig but figured that would be too much sail and $$$ to get my hands on.

I like the tent idea... I've got a tent with a rain fly... I could rig that as long as we've...

Re: I think I may do some racing!!!

Man this thread has a lot of bad advice in it.

Here's what I'd recommend:
1) Go down to the after-party of the race you want to join. Talk to people from different yacht clubs, tell them you...

Re: Is she bluewater? Interesting story to help with these questions.

If you have to ask if a boat is ready for blue water, the answer you should be given is always no.

Why? Because if you're ready for blue water sailing, you can answer the question yourself. And...

Re: NMEA with new Standard Horizon gear

When it's set to "strobe when wet" you can't use NMEA. I called and they had great support. Works fine on the PC and the other VHF.

NMEA with new Standard Horizon gear

If you put the HX851 in the cradle, it has NMEA cables you can use. So I tried connecting it to my computer...
