Im with bijones, if nothings broke you have gained the understanding what sailings about.

I would check for water or trash in your fuel, that and to make sure your fuel system is bleed right.

I have a Walker Bay 8. One of these might meet your need. ours is used more for shore to ship runs, Easy to row and fun to sail if your not expecting a racing dinghy.

St. Petersburg (Tampa area) or just north of it is very nice and seems to have the lowest cost of living for any of the Florida coastal area.

Slip cost at most marinas is under $300

Did a good part of that pass this spring and if you have the time, there are great places along the way to drop anchor. Gordons pass has a nice anchorage if you want to see how the other half live....

Not sure how it is on the west coast but here on the east coast we have seen many people living cheap on boats that they might not even own. Knowing your boat makes a very big difference in living...
