Re: Wireless Radar

I dont have one, but I've been watching this trend because radar is the one of the last proprietary instrument types left onboard. This radar from Furuno is a good first step, but I think they went...

Re: Varianta 37 - vs Hanse vs Beneteau Oceanis?

Re: Florida is at it again

Bahamas is getting greedy too. No one mentions this, but they DOUBLED the entrance fee for boats between 30-35 feet. It used to be boats under 35 feet, $150, over 35 $300. Now its under 30 for...

Re: Mapping depth by dinghy

I have a huge problem with a commercial entity taking my sonar data and profiting/controlling it. I would share my data with openseamap so that eventually, we can cut the cord from these commercial...

Re: Own your own 'Dockominiums' in Fort Lauderdale

Sad...this is whats going to become of Summerfields? I was hoping for more of a normal marina for normal boats.

Its a decent location up-river reasonably far from hurricane impact, but by no...

Re: Charging Woes

With everything off, I draw .10 amp (a tenth of what you draw). I traced that to rows of LEDs that are the backlight to my electrical panel. You have some current thats leaking!

Re: Defender's Annual Warehouse Sale!

THeir prices are good, but their shipping charges onerous. I've found Amazon entering the game for marine stuff is awesome, especially since Im already Amazon Prime. More competition the better!

Re: More bad news for 'anti-slime' bottom paints

I used to use a hard epoxy and would get waterline growth

I switched to PCA gold from WM and i no longer get that slime/growth at the waterline. It works for me.
