I am assuming this is a raw water cooled A4. Most likely rotting from the inside out. Price had better be good, as a rebuild is $2500-4500 depending on core condition and how much work you do...

You should prop the boat so that with a clean bottom and no wind you indicate 3400-3600 rpm at full throttle. Many times the tachs are off so you need to check this also

Most of the Westerbekes are based on Japanese engines- many are Mitsubishi. Just about all of these use ND injectors. All that Westerbeke does is buy these parts, paint them red and triple the price....
