They calculate that by tidal/ocean currents, I imagine?
20 000 tonnes poses a serious threat to navigation for years.

I've heard that there is a community photo logging articles washed ashore as some are of a personal nature.

Has anyone reported any collisions with debris from the Japan Tsunami?
I know a lot of stuff was washed out to sea.
It's washing up on the shores of British Columbia now.
