I have seen a few boats painted with Rustoleum and they look good, one of the best ones used Valspar 4625 Enamel Hardener added in the last coat, really looks good.

I liked "Windjammer" from about 1959 I think it was the first multi-camera wide screen, also "Kon tiki", Maidentrip, and Master and Commander. Windjammer really got me interested in sailing.

I removed the silicone on my boat by first scraped off what would come off then used mek and then acetone stiff brush then a rag with each.
Then grind it down into the glass, wide v to get good grip...

I disagree with Capta I would not grind first this drives the silicone deeper into the glass making it almost impossible to remove. I think silicone should never be used on a boat for this reason...
