In the spring sand with 60 or 80 grit and apply a new coat of barrier paint within a week of when you will apply anti-fouling.

Look for a hex head screw with a slot in it high up on port side of leg. When tightened down hard it makes it hard to turn leg, not a lock just pressure, friction resistance.

We actually had airmotors start very large Dart payloaders ,don't know how the pinion got engaged and disengaged with the flywheel. An air motor with a scuba tank for air supply might work after all...

I have seen its keel described as a long keel 4 and half feet draught so that seems reasonable for 28 foot boat with 7 and half foot beam. But she does have a lot of overhangs, over7 feet on 28 boat....

If you have equal hp. and torque then it does not matter what the power is derived from gas,diesel,coal,nuclear or electric the power will be the same. Energy storage is another matter.

The US coast guard is going to sink the Japanese fishing vessel drifting off the BC coast with gunfire.There are estimated 8000 litres of diesel aboard. Towing the vessel in is deemed too expensive....

Do not rig it fore and aft and the pitch motion will not bother you so much. When rigged abreast depending on which tack you are on rig it so your head is higher than your feet.
