There is a valve that diverts antifreeze on my heat exchanger. Is this for winterization? Can it be used for any other reason? I have been leaving it in the open position....

No hand tools and no cursing. But plenty of groaning and "Gosh darnit!" and "FUDGESICKLES!"

Also, it is amazing how loud one can be on a boat when trying to be as quiet as possible.
