Re: Choosing the Perfect Boat

Re: Choosing the Perfect Boat

I'm not buy'n it. Our friend in Homestaed Fl. crossed the Atlanic twice in 5 and 1/2 foot boats. So many epic long voyages have been done in much lesser boats. There is no way, I could'nt do any of...

Re: Choosing the Perfect Boat

I say the Explorer 44 would be perfect. Maybe a little beefed up with some extra glass on the stress areas. Like a custom job for her mission or what ever.
I also say, as a single handler who has...

Re: Choosing the Perfect Boat

Re: Choosing the Perfect Boat

Yeah, I didn't read much of the other posts, but that was what I was going to suggest. Cumfy for the new sailor because of the way she rides on the sea. Easy for the genius guy to rig for solo...

Re: Rio Dulce Guatemala

Well if you've already done the Highlands and they live there. I would spend a couple of day's on the river like I said, then go down from Livingston to Puerto Barios, and bus over to Ruinas Copan....

Re: Rio Dulce Guatemala

Texas Bay is my fav. as well. It's a way's from any road though. I would go to La Puente on the river. ( The Bridge) and get a room at Brunos. I would line up a trip to the Hot spring water fall up...

I got one for ya, "Sail boat racers are Dicks." I'm willing to bet I've had more blue water pass under my ass than your whole "Fleet?" I think you a$$holes call your selves. Smack has more cred. to...

Re: Houston to Bahams

Key West to Guanaja

We made it to Guanaja from key West. We sailed off the dock with a full main and Asym Spin. in light winds. My 72 year young father in law and I, along with our new Capehorn wind vane made the 7 and...
