Quality of the gelcoat plays a big role how it stands the test of time.
Some manufacturers use a gelcoat with a higher content of pigment which lasts a lot longer than the run off the mill gelcoats....

There are no standarts to import a boat to the US and the duty is %1.5.
It is easier than people think to import a boat and you save a ton if you buy a foreign built boat overseas instead of buying...

I can be biased as being an owner but they are very well built boats you can both cruise(ideal for a couple)and race...
