Re: Boat Us conducts anchor tests

Got to like these results if you make the Mantus. I would expect Fortress/Danforth to own a staight line pull test in mud, but if I was only looking at this chart, i would buy a Mantus.

Re: Collision course procedure?

I try to make eye contact. If they are not looking at you, assume they don't see you. If you cannot see them well enough, assume they don't see you. Hit the horn as soon as it seems as if they don't...

Re: Battery Monitor Setup

Here is my confusion: I thought the bank would only be at 14.4 volts if the charger is still in absorption mode. I also thought with a properly designed charger, it should almost never be full and in...

Re: Battery Monitor Setup

Just to be clear, .05% acceptance on a 225 AH battery is .113 amps?

My monitor currently shows I = .31 amps, so basically it is still charging, just slowly? I should wait until it reads I = .113...

Re: Thoughts on 2 survey items

Total guess, assuming you are talking about a 30-40 foot boat:

1) Since it has "good sounds", I think it will need to be sanded down and re-glassed. I am assuming the cracks are more than...

Re: is there a major difference in foot length of boats?

Either of those boats will cross an ocean no worries. A bigger boat will be more comfortable, carry more gear, and be faster. For example a Cheoy Lee 30 carries about 35 gallons of water. Crossing an...

Re: Drop-in refrigeration vs a conversion kit

We went with the Engel three years ago and do not regret it. My reasons were:
