1. Get a guppy, hang it overboard and clip it to the back stay.
2. Check the engine plug zincs to make sure they're still ok.

I'm a commercial diver. I'm a live-aboard. Please don't attempt it. The thru-hull needs a dry surface and someone on the inside and outside.

Get a fish anode on a cable. It has an alligator clip. Attach it to your backstay (as long as it's not insulated) or anything else that somehow completes the protection cycle.
