After a false start, I closed a deal on an Endeavour 33 (4'6" draft). Boats in good condition with only 500 hrs on the Yanmar 27hp, sails are good, and rigging etc is same, and comes with autopilot....

Yes there are some nightmares out there, I think I avoided one on this boat, so still looking.

I had a buddy go check the boat out, and between the survey and then - so a period of about a year...

Yes - on reflection that makes sense. That is a great idea. Not sure I am up for that challenge but the open area makes it look much larger. Actually with a composting toilet it's probably easier....

Oh yeah....
Anyway...I have even seen one extreme example of an interior job where the Alberg 30 owner took out the head and basin compartment entirely, and extended the living area into that space....

Brent - yes don't disagree that in comparison to many classic and modern boats they are definitely not as roomy. But in comparison to my old boats in NZ, its a palace...no peeing over the side. :)....

PS. Glad I had not discussed this with the wife...I would have got a lot of unneeded grief. However I dont recommend any of you follow my example. I got lucky and dodged the bullet.
