The boat is a Catalina 25, it sounds like hoisting me up there shouldn't be a problem then.

I like the idea of leaning the boat over the pier too, my dock is well suited for that, thank you.

OK, perfect. I think I will try #2 with a Velcro suit, if that does not work I will try a Bosun's chair and if that does not work I will sink the boat and replace the bulb from the dock.

I did end up tying the top to the mast one day...

I did end up tying the top to the mast one day but I was hoping there might be another way.

It is such a great option to pop the top but it is really quite dangerous to have all that weight come...

Replacing Deck Light?

Hello,

I'm a new sailboat owner with a boat already in the water, and I need to replace the deck light. Are there any neat sailboat tricks to getting 14' up the mast to replace the bulb?
