Sheaves for the mast head don't need to be original
Just shop for something close. you can even make the axle pin larger if need be.

It's ok.. the loads aren't that great other then "sheer" You could have a bushing tube welded inside so the bolt can tighten and not crush the mast tube, but not necessary.

Boat that old.... drop it! There is a way to use lag bolts in lead. Catalina owners have a kit available just for that. I'd still want to know how bad/good they are

my marine plywood kayak rotted quietly in some spots under it's deck where there wasn't any air movement and it was under a tarp. "Use it or loose it" really applies to wooden boats of any size!
