It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

As earlier mentioned , high top Chucks. Most versatile shoe on the market. Canvas breathes and dries. I like black. I embarrass my family, but function over form.

There are a lot of "big" boats in the 24-27 foot range. My Ericson 25+, for example, full enclosed head. Standing room in cabin for 6' 2". So, you don't have to have a port a potty. Lot of good...

On that last day, I turned key in cockpit. If I recall it sounded like it was turning over, but not firing. Don't have compression wrench. Just seems odd I could turn the flywheel in November out...

MD5B Volvo/Penta- Why won't flywheel turn by hand?
I just got back from my boat (E-25+). Trying to get it ready to go back in in a few weeks. Last season on my last trip, my exhaust elbow blew a hole in it, which I've had welded over the winter....

Re: Volvo Penta MD5 Exhaust Pipe Elbow
I left the elbow with a welder over the winter and just got it back. Looks good. They ground it out and welded a piece of stainless in, maybe 5 inches by two inches. Should do the trick. Cost me...

Welcome.
Is that the "aboard Madrigal" boat? I used to follow that blog and then it just abruptly ended with no explanation on fate of the boat. In any event, congratulations.

Re: Newport/Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket--your feedbacked needed!
You're getting the right info here. If you are limited on time, but really want to get to MV, I agree that you sail direct to Menemsha from Newport, come right up Vineyard Sound. You can anchor or...

Re: DIY Boat Yard Cape Cod?
Hi,
If you end up down in New Bedford/Fairhaven area, you can go indoors at Bayside, Niemiec, and maybe Fairhaven Ship Yard (but I'm not sure). Two things with going inside at places like these...

Re: Bose 151 Speakers... Opinions
A little off topic. I like music and I like good sound. I was about to rig a wired sound system into my boat and paused and decided to take a reluctant step into the 21st century. I got a boom box...

Minnewaska,
Right. I think the better analogy is not society's ability to tax. A mooring permit is different as it is a license or permit to use public property that has value. Probably a bad...

I'm not sure I was clear on Vineyard Haven example. People (like me) would go nuts if we knew we could not obtain a mooring permit in a harbor unless we could pay 15,000 dollars. If this system...
