Re: Need a doodad

Re: Sharks in the Chesapeake Bay

About 20 years ago, the best place to catch sharks along the entire east coast, north of Florida, was the mouth of Chesapeake Bay. Early in the season, 30 to 55-pound spiny dogfish arrived on the...

Re: What can/should I do while repacking my stuffing box?

I would suggest you do an inspection of your cutlass bearing and replace if necessary. Also after insuring you have a good cutlass bearing and no packing in, I would do an engine alignment. You will...

Re: What can/should I do while repacking my stuffing box?

Replace your cutlas bearing if it has any play-grab the prop and try to move it sideways and up and down. Anything more than 1/32 inch then replace. Also check condition of all thru hulls and...

Re: My crappy sail today

I understand, and it's clear that you need a longer line, or to unwrap the current line a bit on the drum.

But do note that that was not what caused the jam. It's the bottom layers of the wrap...

Re: Rock Hall gouge?

I've been to Rock Hall dozens of times over the past couple years, but not because it was a great place to visit. Waterman's Restaurant was OK, but that's about as high as I would rate it. I...
