6061 and red brass is one of natures locktites and the all of the easy to buy brass is red :)

6061+SS+nickel never seize= a mistake thats nerve coming apart :)

I can get sea sick if inside the cabin in bad conditions

i can get very sea sick snorkeling to clean the boat bottom if i put myself in enough strange positions and it CAN LAST 24 HOURS

I don't want to burst your bubble but NONE or very few of the replacements bulbs are legal in navigation lights as the COMPLETE unit has to be summited to a testing lab

Soda Blasting is very expensive IF your working on a budget , in my case if would have been in the 1500 dollar range :)

And it will take more than two hours to even tape off the boat from the mess
