Sir I extend my bet offer to you also. :laugher I think you'll find 1/8" luan skinned in heavy fiberglass very strong.
I'll admit it's a little ugly and he could have done a better job on the motor...

Just posting an update on my thread. I found the fuel gauge on the Watkins. Its under the cockpit floor under one of the little access hatches, under the floor mat.
