It's hard to judge any boat until you've looked at it. Some price to sell and others price to be beaten down. You may find a boat in excellent shape for a low price and also a crappy boat for a high...

Re: Getting sold boat prices from broker

I'm pretty sure that the BUC price guide may be accurate for small boats such as ski boats but not that accurate for cruising boats. I could be wrong when it comes to monohulls, but I'm positive it's...

Re: Getting sold boat prices from broker

That is fact. I was able to access soldboats for a short time and came across one of the boats I purchased through a broker. They claimed it had sold for asking price where in actuality the price it...

Re: Lets have a chat about multis.

Seems as if your bringing the CF thread over here! From my experience, the majority of sailboats are used as motor sailers these days.

Re: Lets have a chat about multis.

Sorry, to fast with the fingers! If a similar sized cat cost the same as a mono, there would be a whole lot more multis in the world today. Truth is, a well designed and built cat costs a heck of a...

I would agree, there are people that prefer monos over cats. But if a similar

[QUOTE=RTB;2896497]Some people switch from cats you know? ZTC is selling their PDQ32 and buying an Amel, for high latitude voyaging. Zero to Cruising! (http://www.zerotocruising.com/page/6/)

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

On that page it states that they were made in both wifi and non wifi and there were still some non wifi still in circulation. Point was, in a matter of a two minute Internet search I knew that this...

My how the insults are flying now!:-). The more I read your posts the more I feel I'm getting to know you and I can understand why WM settled quickly....to get you the hell out of their lives! It's...

Could it be your lack of initial actions was the cause of your eventual over reaction?;-)

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Trouble is you did receive what was advertised you were just to lazy to research what you were actually purchasing. I hope you and your lawyer are good friends as I don't see you making it very far...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

You really have to define blatant false advertising to me. Nowhere in the WM ad did it state the A78 was wifi equipped correct? Then it must have been your incorrect assumption that it was. Do...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

The A78 originally came without wifi, so to classify an A78 without wifi as being a "not true A78" is incorrect. There was no false advertising by WM as they never advertised it as an A78 with wifi,...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

My guess is neither the ad or the box said wifi on them, but I would guess it did come with everything that the ad and box stated it would come with.
It's kind of like buying a car, you look at the...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I'm sorry but I don't see you as falling victim. If you check google this product comes in both wifi and non wifi. If wifi was important to me, and I'd done my research and realized it came in both...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I found the A78 online in both wifi and non wifi versions. Sounds like you should have done more homework than automatically blaming WM for false advertising?

Re: Anybody missing a sailboat in the Exumas

From what I've heard, he spent a few days in jail in Marathon before getting bailed out . The Feds also had him locked up few years go for a considerable time for threatening the president.

Re: Boat purchase!!

Some documentation services will take care of the complete transaction for a fee. Try Saxton documentation in Ft. Lauderdale, they've done it for us before. Also I believe BoatUS has the same type...

Re: Tacky West Systems Epoxy

. In my experience when coating fresh wood with epoxy, the first coat will have to be sanded pretty well as the wood of gasses causing small bubbles.
