Buying a New Stove

We're going to replace the old CNG stove in our Morgan with a new LPG stove. We've been looking at the Force 10 3 burner, but I've seen some negative reviews about it.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Guess all logic has left us. Some of you bend the opinions here to fit your twisted mentality. Some of you seem to have an agenda, and you try to bend your opinions to fit that. Sadly so.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

"vague"? I posted an explicit article, but you think it is vague. Well, you can lead people to the knowledge well, but you can't make them drink.

At any rate, we do agree on the West Marine...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Funny how people's comprehension levels are all over the chart. Had you read what I wrote, you might have caught that I contacted them immediately. After repeated contacts, I moved the issue up the...

Re: Canning Your Food

We canned butter, too. Need to do a view about that. The butter came out really good, and should last for months to years. Great way to store things. The bacon came out crumbly, but tasted like...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Got it. You have an interpretation of my post, based on what you think is in my mind as to why I took this action, then you called me lazy.

I was brought up that a man needs to own his actions,...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

You interpreted my responses as an attempt to intimidate you? Wow.. Issues much?

Now, if you can just quit giving legal opinions, I think we can carry on.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

You notice that I used the phrase "can be" and I did not specifically determine that anyone was legally in the right or wrong. If someone specifically addresses an issue and makes a statement about...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

You called me lazy. Your words. If you're going to insult someone, at least own it.

As I always say, your intellect stops where your insults begin. Guess we can all see yours has stopped.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Anyone can have an opinion and state it as they wish. Anyone can make a legal assessment. When you do so without a license and the expertise, you stand the possibility of hurting others. That's...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Well-stated. After getting past the lower-level customer service people that gave me the run around, my communications with corporate showed them to be professional and polite to a fault. They...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I did. We've dealt with this sort of thing before between our businesses. People often spout off about things they have no expertise in. In many cases it isn't much of an issue, but in the legal...

Canning Your Food

The wife and I have learned over the past few years, to can our own food. Lately while making our plans, she decided that there were a few things she did not want to be without while sailing out....

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I would hope that you have not caused anyone else here to make a poor decision based on your legal opinions, being that you're not licensed to practice law.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I partly agree with you, but when you state that it is "mainly on the buyer" to know the product ID, it is also legally binding for the corporation to accurately represent what they are selling. Once...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Got it. Just wondering, as you seem to be giving a legal opinion without a license. Might just be illegal for you to do so.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Sadly I have struck a chord with some of the fanboys here. Either I am wrong because I stood up for blatant false advertising, or I somehow attempted to perpetrate a fraud against West Marine.

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

No, I did not end up the victim. Take a look at the original ad. It did not state that the A78 was not a true A78, which according to Raymarine, has WiFi. It was false advertising and West Marine...

I'm about a quarter the way through Earl Hinz book on sailing the Pacific on his Morgan and a question came to mind. I wondered how may here have taken their Morgan on an extended sail. Like 30...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

Thanks, socal. It happens all too often. Then when you make a stir and tell others about it so they don't fall victim, there are those that like to attack or insult you. I guess some people are...

Wow, so you agree that I perpetrated a fraud? Seriously, folks, when did it become popular on Sailnet to accuse others of something so insidious?

They advertised this unit as having a certain...

Re: Our West Marine Debacle

I was also surprised. I will still shop there, but when I am spending thousands of dollars to outfit a boat, I will make sure that what is advertised, is what I am getting.
