Re: What do you stow after sailing? After the season?

Re: Headset Communicators?

Good advice from all, thanks. I respect my wife's position not to dock... she drives the boat with authority and confidence in all other aspects of sailing from down the fairway, in the port area, to...

Re: Headset Communicators?

I hear you. In our case... the Allmand has very poor slow speed manuverability, tight quarters parking with the other 11' beamer next door, the wife won't even try to drive us in. She really can't do...

Re: Cabin heater?

I have one like gary describes, auto type. Works fair, except it's positioned in the aft of the cabin. If the companion way boards are not installed... all the heat goes right up and out. It was on...

Re: Water Heater Check Valve

Most new tanks have a temp/pressure relief valve in addition to a regular faucet drain. I'm fortunate not to have to worry about draining, winterizing etc..

I will look for a bronze check valve....

Re: Water Heater Check Valve

That might explain why the hose popped off a barbed connection... it warmed up and got soft.

So I looked for one and the only thing at the local store was a plastic bilge pump check valve. Is that...
