Dodger window spots

I can''t find an answer in the archive to this one.

Question on aluminum sheaves

I have a Kenyon spar. At the masthead there are 4 aluminum sheaves. They are very corroded (on surface) but not cracked. The bearings seem ok.

What kind of bottom paint do I have?

A week ago I brushed the bottom with a scotchbrite type pad. I got a cloud of paint in the water. Does this sound like ablative paint or would a hard finish do the same when cleaning?

Decontaminating water tanks

Here is what I do.
1. Fill tank then drain it. Remove any filter you may have.
2. Pour in hydrogen peroxide - I use one teaspoon/gallon of tank capacity.

I am going to paint my mast. It is painted now but I am going to remove the paint first. It is in bad shape. Do I need to etch the mast or can I prime it right away? Thanks.

When you decide on a unit, I have found Ebay to be a great source for marine electronic gear. Take a look at completed sales for the item you want, to get an idea of cost. VHFs are common items.
