Regatta Pointe Marina

In other words, you were at a well run marina. Something Regatta Pointe cannot, even remotely, claim. Of the many problems, one major one is that the staff has NO knowledge of marinas or boating. ...

Regatta Pointe Marina, SEE THE LIGHT!

Klaus was hired by Harry to be GM - aka General Moron or as above, Grass Mower. He is the dockwitch''s boss. The hummer is yellow. The house is big. The marina is mortgaged to the hilt. Your...

Regatta Goes Over the Edge

Regatta''s Paper Delivery still more curious:

I hear the newspaper has been getting calls about unwanted papers being delivered.

Management never formally announced or communicated to anyone...

Regatta Pointe Marina

Good job, blackhat!

I''d like to nominate the following bible verse for next week:

Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be...

Regatta Goes Over the Edge

Organizing boaters is VERY difficult!

But, perhaps all of you will help with this: I just found out that the driver who delivers one of our papers was wrongly fired because of this dockwitch''s...

Regatta Pointe - Bringing the Light (HA)

Oh, and let us not forget the poor woman who''s foot went through one of the rotting dock boards. They were kind enough to replace that board. It seems the philosophy is to replace the boards one...

Regatta Pointe - Bringing the Light (HA)

At least 3 boats have left this weekend for Twin Dolphin, with a 4th to leave this week.

The management above the dockwitch, while not as hostile, is apparently less concerned with the customers...

Regatta Goes Over the Edge

Today I awoke to a thwack on the deck at about 5 am. Investigation showed that someone had thrown an unwrapped newspaper on my deck.

The deck is wet from last night''s rain and this morning''s...

Regatta Pointe - Bringing the Light (HA)

bwalker42: Re: " (stay away from Jesus bashing)" - no one was "bashing Jesus", and I hope you didn''t think that was the case. Hypocrit bashing, yes, Jesus bashing, no.

Regatta Pointe - Bringing the Light (HA)

Bwalker42: RE your words: "I saw the marina at their website and it looked nice to me."

The marina website has not been updated since the previous dockmasters were let go. I''m not sure they...

Regatta Pointe - Bringing the Light (HA)

Staff at Regatta Pointe spent yesterday in a meeting at the Ritz Carlton to determine how to bring Jesus to the boaters.

They didn''t have anything more mundane to discuss, like how to fix the...

Regatta Pointe Strikes (Sucks?) Again!!

Well, the cleaning person (who was doing pretty good 6 days a week) quit. I also found out why the bathrooms can never be really clean. There are 21 individual bathrooms here, and the cleaner is...

Regatta Pointe Strikes (Sucks?) Again!!

You cannot serve God and wealth.''" Matthew 6:19-21, 24
Harry needs to understand the word HYPOCRIT.

Anyway, yes it was very kind of them to declare war on the newspaper stands. They were so...

Awning Poles

Sorry, I probably should explain the the PVC is not breaking, just the connection points are popping, so the poles are no longer connected and the awning is not supported.

I don''t know what a...

Awning Poles

Any good ideas for collapsible awning poles that are not as expensive as telescoping poles? We''ve been using PVC, cut in 3 pieces, but in high winds, they come apart. (About 10'' wide)

Marine Surveyor in St. Petersburg, Fl

We have used Pete Brown on 3 of our 4 boats and been extremely pleased with his work. We also used him for an insurance survey. He is very good, and very honorable.

Chainplates are best...

Regatta Pointe Strikes (Sucks?) Again!!

You''re hoping for integrity? HA HA

The Ritz would never hire someone like her and would never, ever let her get near their customers.

It''s a pathetic thing. Perhaps it has to do with the...

Regatta Pointe Strikes (Sucks?) Again!!

This is a good one: the entire staff is going to the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota to "see how they do things." The Ritz is a hotel with no marina attached.

Personally, I can''t see any similarities....

Cleaning Electric Cord

I tried goo-gone, and orange clean but neither worked. The Marinco website suggests acetone, but that did not work either. Starbrite makes a cord cleaner, but West was out.

So, I went back to...

Regatta Pointe Strikes (Sucks?) Again!!

It''s hard to believe, but it''s true. They have decided to remove all the newspaper boxes. I''m told it''s because "they''re a bad image for the marina."

You will have to walk to the ship''s...

Marina Madness - Regatta Pointe

Marina Madness - Regatta Pointe

Had their "hurricane" meeting. Used all the old information from the previous dockmaster, which was good stuff. They wanted to turn the water and electric off at the hint of a warning! I think...
