I'd try to use some sandpaper around the pins to clean the corrosion off of them. Then see if you can find an awl or a needle and see if you can scrape some corrosion off the sockets. Use some wd40...

iPads with GPS don't use cell phone towers. They use those Funky GPS thingyamagigs. You know, Global Positioning Satellites . Or something like that. :eek:
