EMS gauge removal

I have old ~4" EMS bulkhead mounted wind speed and depth gauges that I would like to remove. Anyone know how? Does the exterior weather ring unscrew? If so, is there a tool for that? I don't see...

Thanks. I'm new at this but thinking things at the top of the mast are best done right the first time. I think that location will work fine.
