It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

Re: Best line for jib sheets
I'd go with thicker line for jib sheets. 1/2" or more. The thicker line is much easier on the hands if you're constantly trimming in a race. If you have a self tailing winch, you need to make sure...

Re: Singlehanded Running Backs
If you're not too worried about performance & pointing high, then I've sailed single handed with both sides left partially on. This also only works if your mainsail clears the runners when you tack.

Winch handles in or out?
Our boat always runs offshore races with a jib winch handle always on the drum for trimming.
We also have a "double German" mainsheet system so there are 2 more handles on the winch drums for quick...

Re: Fixed vs folding prop

Has anyone else...

This pipe drains into a deep locker which sits below the water line. There is no possibility of a drain hole.
In the short term, I might go with zip tieing the beer...
