Does the clutch hold when you are setting a reef? If yes, maybe the line cover is worn, try taking up a few inches of halyard at the head and see if a fresh cover section holds or not?

Not terribly bad on FRP, but it will corrode metals (eg. keelbolts). You can dilute it out and it will still kill mold/fungus, but I'd limit the extent you expose anything metal to bleach solutions...

First of all, marina's are no where near as safe as being on the hard. So if you are leaving town for months, being on the hard is the way to go. I'd look into Harbortown Marina in Ft. Pierce, FL....
