Clean prop, clean bottom helps to reduce cost in fuel as if we didn't know. I always if possible go for premium fuel on sailboat. Sail power.

On very bottom of the picture is picture of bronze thru-hull with straight thread.
Usually nut of some sort tightens(this is fancy one) it from the inside. This is all covered with lot of some kind...

Yes it is quite easy and nice to know except doesn't work to remove barnacles from the prop.
Who knows with all new paint markers on market writing Reynolds numbers all over the prop just might do...

My guess is most of our wind measuring instruments, wind tunnel experiments show only one kind of wind. If there is only that kind of wind there would be nothing left behind so to speak.

It probably could be done with polishing wheel and wax. Finished with dishes polishing pads.
