I would guess bow up, with plug in the stern open (you might have more than one).

I took mine off the trailer last summer to patch some gelcoat... wish I had a ramp to get it back on the trailer...

Interesting... do you keep the boom attached to the mast?

I keep the boom lines hooked to the boom and main sheet... to the block on the center trunk... of course it rattles around some as I drive...

My trailer didn't have a seat for the mast at either end... So I notched a two by four in the front... at the stern I use some packing foam that I glued in a kind 'u' shape.

Yeah, I have heard of the Sailcare too..

When it comes to sails... I would guess, unless you are racing, it would be hard to know what or if there is a difference with new or re-furbished sails...
