Chef the example I gave about the lightening jumping from a near by tree and through a window, plus the earlier post of the lightening jumping mast to mast pretty much guarantees your golfer is toast...

Than there's the fact that a aircraft is traveling at 500+ MPH through the air. Not sitting still in the water. I'm sure that makes a big difference.
