Looking to build experience - PNW area

26 y/o engineering student/sailor here, specifically looking to build experience offshore, and/or heavy weather conditions. Also for long passages like West Coast to Hawaii, SE Alaska, Mexico, etc...

I would think you would want to put it on only after you've stripped all contaminants from the gelcoat (i.e. cleaning). But that's just me!
