Re: FWC kit for Atomic 4, a good idea?

When I re powered with an exchange from Moyer 5 years ago I included the fw cooling option from Indeglo. I am glad I have it. Installation took some "cleverness". I run a little cool here along...

Re: Winter sailing in Northeast

I have seen thin ice in the very shallow inner basin where no moorings can be set. Boats do spend the winter on moorings in NEH. It is ice free. I don't think Ice will be a problem.

Re: Winter sailing in Northeast

Hi Rik,

NEH would be safe. I can probably borrow a mooring from December through March for nothing. Access is no problem the dinghy dock keeps "circulators" running all winter. It is 3miles...

Re: Any way to check keel bolts?

I would like to find out if, Islander / Tradewind Yachts, the builder of my 1976 I-28, used J bolts or studs in the lead keel?

Anyone have any idea?

Re: Winter sailing in Northeast

I hauled December 15th. Here on the coast of Maine, which IS the northeast, we consider LI the "south".

Keeping the boat in the water is an option I am considering. Hauling and launching are...

Re: Sailrite Sewing Machine

It is a great tool! Everything it is advertised to be. Their support is top notch. I use it for problems I had not considered fabric and sewing as a solution to. Like having a fabric TIG.

I haven't performed that test yet. My haul out contractor tests my keel bolts every time we set the boat on his trailer. From falling between the...

Re: Mast steps

I like it! One question. Your drawing of the bracket shows 8 rivets,4 per side. Did you reduce the actual number to 2 per side?

Can you share actual pictures?

Rik's measurements for the dome mount's base. I changed it a little from this.

The main pole is 2" sch 40 aluminum pipe.

Thanks again, Rik.
