It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

Boatpoker, the forum has a classified section with a sub-forum for boats. You meet the membership time and post count requirements but the boat can't be for sale for more than $5K.

When initially responding to a mayday in Sectors Delaware Bay and Baltimore, registration numbers are not requested by the CG over the radio. Once they arrive on scene, depending on the situation,...

Re: I can't heave to
When we had a tiller we centered it (or put it in whatever position was necessary), threaded a line through a metal eye attached to it and attached each end of the line to a stern cleat.

Sorry. I was trying to give you a compliment.
I do.

I don't buy the "too expensive" part of this argument no matter what the age. Who says that you must buy a boat to sail?
Both sail clubs that I belong to cost less than $40/year to be a member....

I can't say that those topics are never brought up but somehow it just works out that they are rarely discussed. I don't know how to explain it. It's just a different atmosphere. No one really cares...

I guess that's a rather blunt way of saying that you made a decision based on the lifestyle that you want to live.
