We'd like to split the difference and coast a bit offshore, with stops along the way, and probably do some of the Waterway, too. We don't want to motor all the way, though.

We plan to go east from Rockport (near Port Aransas) to the Keys and on to the Bahamas ..... don't really want to sail the "ditch" all the way. Is there a best time to go, with the usual trades? Hug...
