I believe the mission failed when the safety boat had to tell them to stop sailing for the night. They would have smashed into the rocks so why are they still pressing on with bad feet.

CG always Monitors CH16 on the bay. I would never send out a MAY DAY on fishing channel like 78. 16 is for emergencies not chatter.

Yep always get a rod out. One time I caught a 16" rock on heavy tackle doing about 6 knots. I noticed him dragging on top of the water after a seagull tried to pick him up.

Here in the Chesapeake I get 4 tandem rigs out on a 24' sloop. I do better then some of my motor boater friends.
