I've done this before. If there is only a 1 ft area use stiff wire to dig out all rot wood. Attach vacuum to small tube to help. Get west sys epoxy in a empty caulk tube and attach small tube to end...

I was wondering if anyone has tried to stain teak with ordinary household wood stain to their liking and then come over with Cetol natural. Couldn't find anything in the archives. Thanks

Transducer Fluid

I would remove the pipe and epoxy the transducer to the hull. Just make sure there are no air pockets in the epoxy. You can experiment to get optimum performance using a ziploc bag filled with water...
