Re: Spacing & how many mast steps?

That's true. Think about ladder rung spacing for a comparison. Remember- you want more rather than less, couldbe going up in less than ideal conditions.

I recently did mine , started 24" off the cabin top and went approximately 16" spacing. Put two at the top adjacent to stand on when working at the top, about four feet from the top.

That would be...

Re: Mast steps

I installed these last summer, quite like them. Still have to watch your lines for tangling now and then, but they are super convenient !!

Re: Preventing smell from bilge

Just a thought, but if there is concern around stainless steel keel bolts, you might try PWB " powdered brewery wash" or similar products. These Are stainless-safe cold water cleaners available at...

Re: iPad, built in GPS or bluetooth GPS

Unless you are planning to carry a sextant (kidding) I would recommend a backup system (stand alone gps). Simple units can be had these days for very little. Just my 2 cents. Depending on where you...

Re: installing a new gas tank for my 28' boat

The one I have was bought second hand, but for a motorboat. I would shop around and look for a good deal, paying to have one fabricated will be pricey.

Good luck with your boat!!! I am waiting...

Re: Spirit 28 owners?

I have the autohelm st4000.

It works well, of course it can't handle rough seas great, but it's my understanding none can.

Depends on your budget, going used is a risk sometimes.

Still, not cheap to build.

What volume of expoxy are we talking about for a 2x4 foot area? And how many holes ? Every six inches ? Every three?

Re: Soft deck, a problem or no?

I am thinking the only place could be around the forward hatch. There are no cracks anywhere in that area,

What do u mean epoxy without solution ?

Thanks
