Re: First Sail of the Year - 03/06/12

Re: First Sail of the Year - 03/06/12

No cooler, this time. I just brought a large bottled water with me, and didn't even have a chance to reach for it, with each gust coming from 20 degrees west of the main wind.

I'm hoping for...

First Sail of the Year - 03/06/12

I just got in my first sail of the year. Most of you won't recognize me, and I wouldn't expect you to - I live in Missouri. My stomping grounds are basically a conservation lake nearby, and my...

Makes sense. Light seas in a larger boat (30' or bigger) can still be pretty rough water for a smaller boat (8' - 15'), especially when the smaller boat doesn't stand very high. 1 ft chop and 1 ft...

Thanks for all the info. It looks like one of the best bets is to simply take the classes offered at one of the accredited sailing schools (ACA) and then just head down to the Carribean for a couple...

This is all quite helpful; from what additional research I've been able to come up with, it appears that any boat at all qualifies for "time," as long as it's time spent under way. With my Dolphin...

To meet 6-pack requirements?

I've only recently started sailing, and only on a Dolphin Sr. at that, but.... I do love sailing, and would like to eventually be on a larger vessel, and do some work chartering out.

I know that...
