Recommendations for an anchor washdown pump

Our water is brackish so not too worry about salty water. There are quite a few anchorages with soft mud in my area so, this is mainly to prevent the anchor locker to get messy. And yes, water bucket...

Re: Recommendations for an anchor washdown pump

As anyone seen or tried those TRAC portable washdown pumps. I could see one of these stored in my anchor locker. I'd just have add a 12 V outlet in the anchor locker but that'd be easy to tap into...

Re: Anti-fouling paint under the keel

Anti-fouling paint under the keel

I know it's a bit of a tricky thing to do but I would assume dealer commissioning new boats do their best to paint the underside of the keel. Well, I hauled out today for a quick pressure wash to...

Re: Lithium Ion batteries

Maine Sail,

Thanks for you comments, however, my question was related to feedback from anyone who may have purchased or currently using "drop in" lithium batteries such as the ones made by SMART...

Re: Lithium Ion batteries

If you look at longevity, performance and weight, yes, lithium batteries are a good investment. When lithiums first enter the TV biz, they were 3 or 4 times the price of NiCads but everyone switched...

Lithium Ion batteries

I have used Lithium Ion batteries on TV cameras for the last 10 years and am totally sold on the technology. They have been absolutely impressive in terms of reliability, longevity and power to...

Magnum 2000 charger/inverter install

A dealer in Annapolis wants $3,000 to install a Magnum 2000W charger/inverter plus $1,350 for a Xantrex Link 2000 battery monitor. So, $4,350 total, that looks a bit steep considering that the...

Re: seeking 50% partnership on new 35' sailboat in Annapolis, MD

Thanks Jeff, I'd be looking for a partner that would bring half of the boat value cash, don't want bank/loans involved in this type of deal.

Best,

I am planning to post and add in Spinsheet but that only comes out once a month if I am not mistaken? Any other leads as far as local bulletin boards and forums?

Best,

Terry.
