Re: Take Your Shoes Off in the Cabin

Once my white thingy in the middle is up I lose the shoes...that's just how I roll. Any guest can do whatever they want with theirs...I guess it depends on how they roll;)

Re: advice -- swing keel vs water ballast vs fixed keel

Re: Jib sheet knot catching on stays...

The first thing I thought when I read your "problem" is you are forcing the tack and low and behold...quite a few sailors on here thought the same thing. Let the wind do the work and your problem is...

Re: Do you have to be wealthy to own a sailing yacht?

I didn't read the whole thread but I would say if you call it a "yacht" you are rich. If you call it a big ass boat you are just a sailor;)

Re: Ouch !!!

I may be off base but on a 22' you probably don't even need to "winch" your sheets. You sure shouldn't be wrapping them around your hand...ever.

Just my .02 here but on my 27' the winch handle...

Re: Best of these Florida cities for sailing

I don't wish to hijack this thread but I would bet the OP would be interested in this question:

What is the price range for seasonal (winter) slips in this area? Up here in Narragansett Bay it...

Re: docking with no motor and 20 knots

I am still chuckling over calling for a tow on a 22' sailboat:laugher

We sure have gotten soft. I do like the idea of sailing up to a fuel dock until it calms if you are nervous about it
