I am considering making a rudder for my O’day 22. I lost mine prior to pulling my boat for the season. I am currently out of work and have the time. I could also save on the $850 replacement cost....

I’d check your gas tank too. Sounds like the tube that is actually in the gas that draws the gas to your line may be out of shape. It may only be able to draw gas from the upper quarter of your tank....

The foam was probably cut to just bigger than the inside profile and pressed in. I innitially tried to pust the whole lot out but had no luck.
