Re: Transmission Yanmar KM35P problem

The oil is engine oil ... SAE 30 HD (Heavy Duty).

Was told when bought boat in 2011 not to put it in reverse when sailing (to stop prop turning). If...

Re: Yanmar Engine blower failed

Thanks to all
I will replace ... quite a job.
Concensus seems that the engine will get less air (weight) if that air is hot in engine compartment. Also other equipment in engine compartment, even...

Re: Storage in Benes?

Hi Brad
You don't refer to the Beneteau 40 which I guess "replaced" the 393 but it has even more open space (so less storage). Though with the wider stern it does have huge cockpit and cockpit...

Re: in mast furling issues?

Hi Brad
I've got a 2009 Beneteau 40 and the furling main is great. Used to charter boats with classic main but furling is so much easier than slab reefing. I don't think it would be the best choice...

Re: Beneteau 40 (Oceanis, 2009) gennaker??

Hi
My potential problem was with an ordinary gennaker. The gennaker halyard is VERY close to the top of the forestay. It goes through a "spectacle" that is offset to the starboard side of the mast...
